How to reach us
- Emergencies, 24 hours: 0333 360 8691. Answered by a qualified electrician, including nights, weekends and bank holidays.
- Email: contact@supreme-emergency.co.uk. Best for quotations, photographs of a board, EICR bookings and landlord paperwork.
- Coverage: East Sussex, West Sussex and Kent. Typical arrival across East Sussex is 30 to 90 minutes.
- For anything urgent, ring rather than email. Email is not monitored at three in the morning; the phone is.
What to have ready when you ring
None of it is essential, and you will not be quizzed. But having it to hand routinely saves time on site, and time is the bulk of what an emergency call costs.
- Your postcode, and whether there is parking.
- What has stopped working, and whether it is the whole property or only part of it.
- Whether anything smells hot, looks scorched, or is warm to the touch.
- What the consumer unit looks like — a photograph taken safely from a distance is worth several minutes of description.
- Whether anything changed just before it happened: an appliance switched on, work done recently, heavy rain.
Before we arrive
If you can smell burning, switch off at the main switch on the consumer unit if it is safe to reach, and keep people out of the affected room. Stop resetting a breaker that keeps tripping — it is protecting you from something real. Do not touch a scorched socket or a light fitting with water coming through it.
If someone has had an electric shock, do not touch them until the supply is off, and ring 999 first. If you can smell gas, leave the property and ring the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 before anything else.
Landlords, agents and businesses
One point of contact, one invoice, and certificates issued straight to you rather than left with a tenant. EICRs and remedial work can be scheduled around occupancy rather than around us.
If you manage several properties, email is usually the quickest way to set that up — send the addresses and what each one needs, and you will get one reply covering all of them.
