What we do
One thing, properly: emergency electrical work. Fault finding, emergency repairs, tripping circuits and power loss, fuse box and consumer unit replacement, and electrical safety checks.
We are not a general building firm with an electrician attached. The phone is answered by someone who can diagnose, and the van that turns up carries what the job is likely to need rather than what happened to be left in it.
How we work
- The phone is answered by a qualified electrician, 24 hours a day, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Typical arrival across East Sussex is 30 to 90 minutes, and you are given a realistic window before you commit to anything.
- The price is agreed before the work starts, and it does not move afterwards.
- Every electrician has a minimum of eighteen years in the trade, is Part P registered and is insured for the work carried out.
- Everything is tested with calibrated instruments and certified to BS 7671, with the certificate issued before we leave.
Where we cover
Eighteen towns across East Sussex have a page of their own, from Brighton and Hove along the coast to Hastings and Rye, and inland through Lewes, Uckfield, Crowborough, Heathfield and Wadhurst. We also cover West Sussex and Kent.
If your town is not on the list it is still worth ringing. The list reflects where we are most often, not the boundary of where we will travel.
Why the emphasis on emergencies
Because it is where the gap between a good electrician and an average one costs the most. A booked rewire is largely a scheduling exercise. A house with a burning smell at midnight is a series of judgement calls, and judgement is the part that takes years rather than weeks to acquire.
It is also the work people are least well placed to shop around for. Nobody compares five quotes at one in the morning, which is exactly why the price and the arrival time are given straight away rather than negotiated on your doorstep.
